The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable working around engines and industrial equipment. You do not need to know every system on day one — the team is willing to train someone with a strong mechanical or electrical foundation who is eager to learn and grow.
Salary Range: $60,300–$68,000 / Year, DOE ($29–$33/hour) + overtime and quarterly bonus potential
Responsibilities
- Perform routine facility inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment, including engine generator systems
- Monitor plant operations and adjust system controls to optimize performance and prevent equipment failures
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and repair or replace worn or damaged equipment and components
- Respond to plant alarms and support appropriate corrective actions, including plant shutdown and startup procedures
- Maintain required operational, maintenance, performance and downtime logs and reports
- Support regulatory compliance and complete required daily, monthly and annual reporting
- Monitor and tune landfill gas well fields to improve gas quantity and quality
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, fluids, and other supplies required for plant operations
- Coordinate plant activities with utility and landfill personnel while completing required company and regulatory training
Requirements
- 1+ year of mechanical and/or electrical experience
- 1–5 years of operations and maintenance experience with mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1,500 kW preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn plant operations and electrical systems
- Automotive mechanic, engine repair, or similar hands-on mechanical experience is highly valued
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and remain composed in a high-pressure operating environment
- Willingness and ability to work required overtime, participate in an on-call rotation, and perform limited weekend duties
Benefits
- Medical insurance + HSA wellness incentive opportunities
- 401(k) with a company contribution
- PTO available
- Paid holidays plus additional personal-choice holidays
- Quarterly performance bonus opportunity
- Paid overtime and minimum call-out pay
- Company-provided uniforms, tools, and required personal protective equipment
If you are mechanically driven, ready to learn, and want a hands-on career with strong earning and growth potential, apply today.
