Position Title: Mid- to Senior-Level Advice and Counsel Associate

Salary Range: $190,000–$220,000 / Year, DOE

An established national labor and employment law firm is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Advice and Counsel Associate to join its Seattle office. This role focuses on helping employers navigate complex, day-to-day workplace issues, from ADA and FMLA matters to employment policies, contracts, training, and workplace investigations. The attorney will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while managing sophisticated employment matters with a practical, business-focused approach.

The ideal candidate is an experienced employment attorney who enjoys the counseling side of the practice, communicates clearly with clients and brings the judgment, initiative and confidence to independently manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Advise employers on day-to-day employment law matters and workplace issues
  • Draft, review and revise employment policies, procedures and employee-facing documentation
  • Counsel clients on ADA, FMLA and other leave and accommodation matters
  • Draft and review employment contracts and related agreements
  • Provide management and employee training on employment law and workplace compliance topics
  • Conduct and advise on workplace investigations
  • Develop practical, business-minded solutions that help clients manage risk and maintain compliant workplaces
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm while independently managing client matters and priorities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of employment law experience
  • Strong experience providing employment law advice and counseling to employers
  • Experience drafting and reviewing employment policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and related workplace compliance matters
  • Experience drafting employment contracts and conducting workplace investigations
  • Excellent academic credentials with exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Active admission to the Washington State Bar
