Job Description
Position Title: Regional Sales Manager
Turn relationships in the athletics world into major projects and serious earning potential. We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive new business throughout Northern California for an established leader in athletic surfaces and construction. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on selling synthetic turf fields, running tracks, and athletic courts to K-12 schools, private institutions, municipalities, and other athletic organizations.
This role is built for a true hunter who knows the athletics space, enjoys being in front of customers, and is comfortable owning a territory independently. The ideal candidate brings established relationships within the Northern California athletics community, strong presentation skills, and the energy to spend significant time in the field developing new business.
Salary Range: $75,000–$100,000 base salary, DOE + commission
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a Northern California territory through proactive prospecting, cold outreach, relationship building, and strategic business development
- Sell athletic construction projects ranging from courts and tracks to large-scale synthetic turf fields
- Build relationships with athletic directors, school districts, private schools, municipalities, and other key decision-makers
- Leverage market and funding data to identify organizations with upcoming athletic facility projects and pursue new opportunities
- Travel throughout the territory approximately four days per week for customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and relationship development
- Manage a primarily new-business-focused territory while maintaining and expanding select existing accounts
- Own the sales process through contract execution, then partner with contracts and operations teams for a seamless project handoff
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience within athletics, including athletic administration, coaching, facilities management, athletic construction, turf sales, or a closely related field
- Strong network and established relationships with K-12 schools, private schools, municipalities, or athletic organizations
- Proven ability to build relationships, generate new business and confidently present to decision-makers
- Self-motivated, energetic, and comfortable operating independently without constant direction
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning CRM, reporting and project management platforms
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Northern California approximately four days per week
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, though relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree
Benefits
- Highly competitive commission structure with significant uncapped earning potential
- Company vehicle and gas card
- Company expense card for business travel
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with coverage beginning on the first day of employment
- Company contribution toward medical insurance premiums
- 401(k) with a company match after one year of service
- 9 paid holidays
- Generous PTO package
- Annual performance reviews with opportunities for raises and additional bonus potential
- Support from experienced senior leadership while maintaining autonomy over your territory
If you are a connected, driven sales professional who knows the athletics market and wants the freedom to build a territory with substantial earning potential, apply today.
