Position Title: Assistant Property Manager

Step into a hands-on property management role where you can make an immediate impact on resident experience, property performance, and day-to-day operations. We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the management of a 446-unit multifamily residential community in Baton Rouge. This role works closely with the Community Manager across leasing, resident relations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, inspections, reporting, and team support.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of Assistant Property Manager experience, understands the operational and financial side of multifamily property management, and brings strong emotional intelligence, initiative, and customer service skills.

Salary Range: $23–$25 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Support the Community Manager with daily operations of a 446-unit multifamily residential community
  • Manage resident questions, concerns, and communications while delivering a high level of customer service
  • Assist with leasing, move-ins, renewals, resident retention, and property marketing activities
  • Support rent collection, delinquency management, lease violations, and eviction processes
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders with the onsite maintenance team
  • Conduct apartment inspections and help ensure property standards are maintained
  • Prepare operational reports, financial documentation and administrative paperwork
  • Assist with training, supporting, and coordinating onsite community staff

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of Assistant Property Manager experience within multifamily residential property management
  • Experience with Entrata or another property management software; Entrata strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service, communication, and resident relations skills
  • Ability to understand financial reports and support property-level operational analysis
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Associate’s degree, CAM, ARM, or CCRM certification, and bilingual skills are preferred
