Position Title: Project Manager

Lead high-impact institutional construction projects from startup through closeout with a respected, employee-owned general contractor known for delivering complex K-12, higher education, civic, and commercial projects. As Project Manager, you’ll own project budgets and forecasting, contract administration, pay applications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, risk management, client and subcontractor coordination, and closeout activities while partnering closely with superintendents, project engineers, senior leadership, owners, architects, and major trade contractors. This is an opportunity to play a key role on large-scale projects in the Charlotte region while joining a company positioned for continued growth across North Carolina.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000/ Year + Bonus DOE

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale institutional and educational construction projects from startup through closeout
  • Own project budgets, forecasting, financial accountability, pay applications, and cost controls
  • Manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, risk, and project documentation
  • Coordinate owners, architects, subcontractors, trade partners, and internal project teams
  • Lead major trade scopes and help drive project execution, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction
  • Oversee project closeout, warranty activities, and successful transition from construction to completion

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at $30M+ with larger-scale GC exposure
  • Strong contract administration, financial management, scheduling, and project controls experience
  • Background in K-12, higher education, institutional, public-sector, civic, or commercial construction
  • Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client management skills
  • Stable career history with a reputation for integrity, accountability, and accurate representation of experience
