Salary Range: $160,000 – $195,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities:
- Lead legal oversight of real property acquisition and disposition transactions
- Ensure compliance with statutory and other regulatory obligations for such transactions
- Review title, zoning, easements, and property-related due diligence
- Provide legal oversight for facilities operations
- Review and negotiate facility-related vendor agreements and service contracts
- Support school site renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects
- Draft and review public bidding documents and negotiate the resulting contracts
- Ensure contract terms appropriately address liability, indemnification, and school district specific interests
- Ensure compliance with competitive bidding and public entity procurement requirements
- Resolve disputes involving leases, vendors, and parties providing equipment, supplies, or services to a district
Requirements:
- Active California Bar membership.
- 3–7 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions.
