Position Title: Wellfield Technician

Salary Range: $45,760 – $54,080 / Year DOE

As a Wellfield Technician, you’ll play a critical role in operating and maintaining landfill gas collection systems that help transform waste into valuable energy resources. This hands-on position combines equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, environmental stewardship, and field operations in a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to take ownership of their work while contributing to a collaborative team dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Wellfield Technician Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the landfill gas wellfield during assigned shifts to ensure compliance with operating permits and safety standards
  • Record daily logs and readings as per prescribed protocols
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including control rooms and facilities
  • Document wellhead readings and coordinate corrective actions to ensure compliance
  • Assist in operational planning for construction projects and gas collection field expansions
  • Perform analytical tests and maintain calibration records for equipment

Wellfield Technician Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with industrial equipment, preferably in a hands-on capacity
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks related to equipment maintenance
  • Equivalent military experience may be considered
  • Basic mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation knowledge is required
  • Graduates from trade schools or those with automotive maintenance experience are encouraged to apply
  • Strong mechanical and systems aptitude is essential
  • Ability to service, rebuild, and maintain industrial pumps and equipment is preferred
  • Experience with pneumatic systems is preferred
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are preferred
  • Understanding of landfill gas collection systems is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks and work independently is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for documentation and reporting are preferred
