Position Title: IT Manager

The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the organization. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing IT infrastructure while fostering a collaborative environment among team members. The successful candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems to ensure high availability and security. With a focus on growth, this role is designed for an individual who aspires to advance to a CIO position within ten years. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting where priorities can shift and will possess a strong sense of urgency to address challenges effectively. This position offers an opportunity to lead and develop a skilled team while making a significant impact on the company’s technological capabilities.

Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 / Year DOE

IT Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage three IT help desk staff
  • Oversee server management and infrastructure, including Microsoft technologies and VPN hardware
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
  • Run scripts to schedule jobs
  • Manage vendor relationships for networking and hardware acquisition
  • Lead project management initiatives for server and hardware upgrades, implementation of solutions, and disaster recovery
  • Work primarily at the data center with occasional visits to other locations as needed

IT Manager Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of IT experience with expertise in infrastructure, managed firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Proficient in both software and hardware
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, VMware, SAN/NAS storage, and firewalls
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
  • Open to candidates ready to transition from a Team Lead role
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL) are preferred
  • Scripting experience is preferred
