A fast-growing wholesale flooring and installation company needs a Contract Billing / AR Specialist to join their operation in Fairfield, CA.. This role handles contract invoicing, payment tracking, and builder-specific billing requirements for high-volume residential flooring installations. This person knows how to manage construction billing with accuracy and confidence You’ll work closely with major home builders, ensuring clean financial execution on every job. They want someone sharp, detail-driven and professional who understands how to work with contractors, solve problems and stay cool under pressure.

Salary Range: $52,000 – $62,400 / Year DOE

Contract Billing / AR Specialist Responsibilities:

·      Prepare and process progress billings including materials, labor and margin breakdowns

·      Manage contract compliance and billing requirements for home builder accounts

·      Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments as needed

·      Validate pricing, job costs, and change orders before invoicing

·      Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate project documentation and revenue recognition

·      Provide strong customer service when working with contractors and builder representatives

·      Maintain accurate records in RollMaster

·      Support team operations and reporting as required

Contract Billing / AR Specialist Requirements:

•        3+ years experience in construction or building materials billing

•        Strong AR knowledge and understanding of contract billing workflows

•        Ability to read job documents and understand builder terminology and expectations

•        Professional communication and customer service skills internally and externally

•        High attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments

•        Thick skin and problem-solving mindset when dealing with contractor personalities

•        Self-sufficient operator who learns quickly and doesn’t require daily handholding

•        Experience with RollMaster or similar ERP preferred

•        Prevailing wage billing experience preferred

•        Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
