Position Title: Outside Sales Executive

The Outside Sales Executive role is essential for driving business growth and fostering client relationships within Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. This position requires a proactive approach to prospecting and a strong focus on customized sales solutions. The individual will be responsible for engaging with various industries, including manufacturing and consumer goods, to deliver tailored packaging solutions. Success in this role hinges on the ability to navigate a competitive landscape while maintaining a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate will thrive in an independent work environment and possess the skills necessary to build and maintain a robust client base.

Outside Sales Executive Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory that encompasses all of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts
  • Develop customized solutions and provide quotes to clients
  • Engage with businesses in sectors such as food and beverage, cosmetics, and industrial products
  • Focus on business development while managing existing accounts
  • Conduct cold calls and in-person meetings to generate leads
  • Build and maintain a lead list to schedule appointments
  • Collaborate with team members while fostering a positive sales culture
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment with minimal supervision

Outside Sales Executive Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in customized solutions
  • Experience in selling services or tailored products is required
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Experience with procurement professionals is advantageous
  • A background in manufacturing is beneficial, but a strong custom sales background is required
  • A BA degree is preferred
