Job Description

A fast-growing and values-driven law firm is seeking two Residential Real Estate Attorneys to join their Charlotte office. This is an on-site role requiring superior communication skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, client-facing environment. The attorney will be responsible for conducting residential closings, reviewing legal documents, and guiding clients through one of the most important transactions of their lives. Ideal candidates are dependable, personable, and comfortable with a structured daily schedule.

Residential Real Estate Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Conduct residential real estate closings for buyers, sellers, and lenders
  • Explain closing documents to clients with clarity and professionalism
  • Review closing packages and title searches for accuracy and legal sufficiency
  • Perform title curative work and identify/resolve title issues
  • Collaborate closely with the legal team, paralegals, and closing schedulers
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced, client-facing settings
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and firm policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team operations

Residential Real Estate Attorney Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active North Carolina Bar license is required
  • South Carolina Bar license is preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience in residential real estate law, will consider up to 5 years
  • Previous experience conducting closings or working with real estate documents
  • Appointment as a NC Notary Public or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time on-site
  • Comfortable with a structured, calendar-driven daily workflow
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Qualia is a plus
