Job Description
A rapidly growing, family-owned waste management company is seeking an experienced and driven Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management representative to help expand their customer base and increase revenue for their roll-off and front-load waste services. This field-based sales role focuses on generating new business, building long-term relationships, and providing customized solutions to clients.
Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and referrals
- Meet with potential clients to assess needs and present customized waste management solutions
- Manage and close deals for roll-off services and front-load dumpster contracts
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects using shared tracking tools and provide detailed reporting on sales activities
- Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Represent the company at networking events and trade shows to promote services and develop new opportunities
- Identify upsell opportunities, including extra pickups, specialized containers, and seasonal waste services
Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management Requirements:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience within the waste management industry
- Proven success in hunting, lead generation, and closing new business
- Strong understanding of roll-off and front-load waste services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting solutions in-person
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Self-motivated, independent, and capable of managing a flexible schedule
- Proficiency in CRM tools is huge plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
