Job Description

A rapidly growing, family-owned waste management company is seeking an experienced and driven Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management representative to help expand their customer base and increase revenue for their roll-off and front-load waste services. This field-based sales role focuses on generating new business, building long-term relationships, and providing customized solutions to clients.

Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, and referrals
  • Meet with potential clients to assess needs and present customized waste management solutions
  • Manage and close deals for roll-off services and front-load dumpster contracts
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects using shared tracking tools and provide detailed reporting on sales activities
  • Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Represent the company at networking events and trade shows to promote services and develop new opportunities
  • Identify upsell opportunities, including extra pickups, specialized containers, and seasonal waste services

Outside Sales – Commercial Waste Management Requirements:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience within the waste management industry
  • Proven success in hunting, lead generation, and closing new business
  • Strong understanding of roll-off and front-load waste services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting solutions in-person
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Self-motivated, independent, and capable of managing a flexible schedule
  • Proficiency in CRM tools is huge plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
