A well-established construction and property services company operating in the Daytona Beach area is seeking a Central Construction Worker to join their dedicated team. This role involves hands-on maintenance and repair across multiple residential properties, focusing on carpentry, landscaping, and equipment operation while maintaining strict safety standards. Ideal for candidates with a proactive mindset and at least two years of property maintenance experience who enjoy varied daily tasks and working outdoors. Central Construction Worker Responsibilities:
- Travel daily to multiple property sites to complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently
- Diagnose, perform, and document a wide variety of repairs including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical
- Operate and maintain a range of power tools and heavy equipment safely and responsibly
- Restore landscaping and irrigation systems to ensure property appearance after maintenance jobs
- Communicate courteously with residents and coworkers to promote positive relations onsite
- Identify and report any unsafe conditions or hazards immediately to management
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies throughout all work activities
- Safely operate and maintain specialized power tools, including jackhammers, concrete saws, and trenchers, to complete repairs
- Document all work and parts used accurately and communicate daily updates to property management for seamless coordination
Central Construction Worker Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property maintenance or related construction role
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, user mover aids, and mechanical equipment
- Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel between job sites
- Knowledge of appliance repair, heating, air conditioning, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and hazardous materials handling
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; OSHA certification a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or after-hours emergency availability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for resident and team interactions
