A leading firm in the immersive experience and show control industry, specializing in designing cutting-edge audiovisual and control systems, is seeking a skilled AV Show Control Designer for their Orlando, FL office. This role will primarily focus on designing, implementing, and supporting AV and control systems for large-scale projects in museums, theme parks, and other unique spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio, video, control systems, and networking, with the ability to manage multiple projects from design to implementation. AV Show Control Designer Responsibilities:

• Design and implement control systems for audiovisual experiences, including video playback, audio, and lighting
• Collaborate with clients to assess project needs and provide tailored technical solutions across all phases
• Create detailed system documentation, including CAD drawings, programming specifications, and design narratives
• Participate in design meetings, perform site surveys, and generate assessment reports to guide the project
• Oversee network implementation, system configuration, and commissioning to ensure smooth integration
• Assist programmers with technical direction in developing user interfaces and control programs
• Travel to client sites for hands-on installation support and system programming
• Analyze user needs and evaluate the feasibility of design solutions within time and budget constraints

AV Show Control Designer Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in AV system design, with a focus on control systems and integration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or similar tools for system design and documentation
• Strong knowledge of networking principles, including VLANs, QoS, and routing for AV systems
• Experience with control system architecture and programming using Medialon, Q-SYS, Crestron, or similar platforms
• Client-facing experience with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and client expectations
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
