A well-established and growing insurance brokerage in Torrance, CA is seeking a bilingual, detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to support a vibrant and high-performing producer in managing a book of employee benefits clients. This hybrid role requires a highly organized and responsive individual to handle day-to-day servicing, client communication, open enrollment meetings, and carrier coordination. The ideal candidate will be experienced in group health benefits, comfortable using online enrollment portals, and able to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment. Benefits Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day servicing of a mid-sized benefits book spanning multiple clients and a significant number of covered lives
- Handle employee and client inquiries regarding billing, claims, and benefits via phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Coordinate and participate in open enrollment presentations and create communication materials
- Maintain and update client records using Applied TAM/EPIC and shared drives
- Provide timely updates to the producer and maintain regular communication with clients
- Travel to client sites for enrollment meetings approximately 1–2 times per month
- Create and manage employee benefit booklets and enrollment support materials
- Utilize and manage online enrollment systems such as Ease and Employee Navigator
- Monitor and document client compliance, including COBRA, 5500s, and required notices
- Ensure all phone and email inquiries are responded to within 24 hours
- Collaborate with internal teams to support client retention and satisfaction
Benefits Account Manager Requirements:
- 2–5 years of benefits experience specifically as an account manager
- Active Life and Health license required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency with online enrollment platforms such as Ease or Employee Navigator
- Experience managing multiple client accounts with high attention to detail and organization
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites for enrollment meetings
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office
- Familiarity with Applied TAM or EPIC preferred
- Comfortable in a paperless, process-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
