A vitamin and supplement company is seeking a Plant Accountant to lead all accounting functions at a growing manufacturing facility in Provo, Utah. This onsite role includes cost accounting, inventory management, general ledger oversight, and financial reporting. The Plant Accountant will collaborate with leadership to drive financial accuracy and efficiency during a high-growth period, with plans to double revenue through acquisition. They are looking for a self-sufficient, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams.

Plant Accountant Responsibilities: 

• Maintain and monitor plant-specific cost accounting records and analyze production variances
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting, and track actuals vs targets
• Manage general ledger entries, month-end close, and account reconciliations
• Oversee inventory transactions, conduct physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies
• Prepare plant-level financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external regulations
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to inform decisions
• Identify and support implementation of process improvements and cost savings
• Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits

Plant Accountant Requirements: 

• 3+ years of experience as a plant accountant in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Access
• Familiarity or experience with Odoo ERP preferred
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
