A well-established construction subcontractor specializing in high-end commercial metal framing and drywall is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Aiea, Hawaii. This role offers hands-on experience supporting major renovations and ground-up commercial projects, with a strong administrative focus on submittals, change orders, estimates, and project coordination. Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 / year DOE

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Assisted Project Managers with estimates, time cards, change orders, and various administrative project tasks
• Prepared and tracked submittals, organized extra work tickets, and ensured all supporting documents were submitted on time
• Coordinated material orders and deliveries while monitoring inventory and tracking on-site progress against schedules
• Communicated with field teams and supported daily schedule updates to align crew efforts and project milestones
• Maintained accurate project documentation from kickoff through closeout, ensuring records met compliance standards
• Supported job setup activities and reviewed bid documents for accuracy, helping correct discrepancies pre-launch
• Provided flexible support across all areas of the project, contributing to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment

Project Engineer Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall
• Exposure to high-rise, hotel, or large-scale renovation projects preferred
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in or willingness to learn OnCenter software (OnScreen Takeoff, QuickBid)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible, team-first attitude
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
