A commercial contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join a busy and growing construction team in Kihei, HI. This role will oversee commercial construction projects—primarily hospitality renovations such as hotels and office spaces—with values ranging from $150K to over $40M. The Project Manager will work closely with a Project Engineer and take full ownership of 2–3 projects at a time, handling budgets, subcontractor coordination, schedule management, and field oversight. The ideal candidate is someone with a background in metal framing and drywall who is comfortable managing mid-to-large-scale projects independently and who can seamlessly integrate into a small team.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $155,000 / year DOE

Project Manager Responsibilities: 

• Manage 2–3 commercial construction projects at any given time
• Review estimates and build detailed project budgets
• Price and manage change orders throughout construction
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site personnel
• Oversee project timelines, materials, and field execution
• Support hospitality renovation projects, including hotels, office space, and retail
• Occasionally contribute to ground-up construction projects
• Act as the main point of contact for project-related communication
• Ensure all documentation and fieldwork align with plans
• Handle projects ranging from 12 to 18 months in duration

Project Manager Requirements: 

• 5+ years of construction project management experience
• Background in metal framing and drywall
• Prior work on $5M–$10M+ projects
• Strong knowledge of hotel or high-rise renovation work
• Comfortable working independently in a small team setting
• Familiarity with OnCenter (QuickBid/OnScreen Takeoff) is preferred
• Relocation support available for candidates open to moving to Hawaii
