Position Title: Family Law Attorney

At this firm, you’ll have the opportunity to manage meaningful family law cases from start to finish while making a lasting impact on the lives of your clients. You’ll represent clients in court, develop case strategies, negotiate resolutions, and guide families through some of life’s most important legal matters. Salary Range: $150,000 – $205,000/ Year + Performance Compensation DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a family law caseload from intake through resolution, including trial preparation and post-judgment matters
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials throughout Northern California counties
  • Develop legal strategies and provide practical guidance on divorce, child custody, support, domestic violence, property division, and related family law matters
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients while providing compassionate and responsive legal counsel
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal support staff, and firm leadership to ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently met

Requirements:

  • Open to newly barred attorneys with family law clerkships
  • Active membership of the California State Bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of California family law experience with preference for 5 or more years
  • Strong knowledge of the California Family Code, local court rules, custody, support, and
  • community property laws
  • Proven ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution
  • Courtroom experience including hearing and trial preparation
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated professional who is adaptable, genuine, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
