Position Title: Real Estate Transactional Attorney

About: Join a collaborative San Francisco law firm as a Real Estate Transactional Attorney supporting sophisticated commercial real estate matters from negotiation through closing, including leasing, purchases and sales, 1031 exchanges, private offerings, entity formation, and borrower-side loan document review. This role offers meaningful client exposure, close collaboration with experienced Partners, and a clear path toward leadership and partnership for the right attorney. The ideal candidate is a proactive, ambitious team player with strong judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and 3–5 years of transactional experience who is eager to grow as both an attorney and future leader.
Salary: $145,000- $215,000/ Year DOE
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial real estate leasing, purchase and sale transactions, including 1031 exchanges
- Draft, review, negotiate, and comment on transaction documents and agreements
- Form and document LLCs and limited partnerships used to acquire, own, and operate real estate
- Review and comment on borrower-side loan documents for commercial real estate transactions
- Advise clients and collaborate closely with Partners, attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
- Manage multiple matters and tight deadlines while exercising sound legal judgment
Requirements
- 3–5 years of transactional real estate experience, with candidates up to 10 years considered
- California Bar admission in good standing
- Strong experience with commercial real estate leasing and purchase and sale transactions
- Experience with business entity formation and documentation
- Experience reviewing and commenting on commercial real estate loan documents
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and judgment skills
- Collaborative, proactive mindset with an interest in mentoring and long-term partnership
