Position Title: Facilities Real Estate Associate Attorney

Salary Range: $160,000 – $195,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead legal oversight of real property acquisition and disposition transactions
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and other regulatory obligations for such transactions
  • Review title, zoning, easements, and property-related due diligence
  • Provide legal oversight for facilities operations
  • Review and negotiate facility-related vendor agreements and service contracts
  • Support school site renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects
  • Draft and review public bidding documents and negotiate the resulting contracts
  • Ensure contract terms appropriately address liability, indemnification, and school district specific interests
  • Ensure compliance with competitive bidding and public entity procurement requirements
  • Resolve disputes involving leases, vendors, and parties providing equipment, supplies, or services to a district

Requirements:

  • Active California Bar membership.
  • 3–7 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions.
