A boutique legal firm in Westlake Village, CA that specializes in plaintiff representation for consumer class actions, wage and hour cases, mass torts, and ERISA litigation is seeking an articulate and talented Employment Attorney to join their team! The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a passion for plaintiff-side work, and a proactive approach to moving cases along. Salary Range: $140,000 – $175,000 / year DOE

Employment Attorney Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of employment experience required
  • Wage and hour class action/PAGA experience preferred
  • Open to candidates with experience in individual employment
  • Proven experience in drafting complaints, conducting discoveries, and defending depositions
  • Strong writing skills are essential
  • Barred in California
  • Professional demeanor, articulate communication, and the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to work at their office in Westlake Village, CA at least 3x a week

Employment Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 25-30 cases, including wage and hour, personal injury, consumer class actions, and data breach cases
  • Draft complaints, conduct CMCs, and attend status conferences
  • Collaborate with partners to move cases forward, with a focus on mediation and arbitration preparations
  • Engage in discovery processes and conduct depositions
  • Ensure thorough and accurate legal writing and documentation
