Job Description

Position Title: Operations Director

This role places a single leader in charge of how a growing food and beverage producer makes its product, from forecasting demand to the moment it ships. The Operations Director leads the production, packaging, and engineering functions, owns the plant’s supply chain, and steps onto the floor with a wrench when production needs a hand. The company is expanding into major national retail channels, so the person in this seat shapes the systems that must scale with that growth.

The team is small, close-knit, and long-tenured, with many colleagues who have worked together for more than a decade. Leaders here are known by the whole company, and their decisions are visible. The position is onsite and offers a defined path toward a Chief Operating Officer role as the business matures.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000 / Year DOE

Plus a performance-based bonus opportunity

  • Lead the Director of Production, the Director of Packaging, and the Production Engineer
  • Oversee daily manufacturing and operational activities across the plant
  • Own demand forecasting, production planning, and supply chain operations
  • Improve operational efficiency and refine manufacturing processes
  • Work directly in the production area, troubleshooting problems and supporting equipment and line operations
  • Support production, packaging, and engineering functions with hands-on involvement
  • Maintain and strengthen quality systems, including quality control, ISO certifications, and good manufacturing practices
  • Apply manufacturing best practices to keep quality standards consistent as volume grows

Operations Director Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations leadership
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Experience with demand forecasting, supply chain management, and production planning
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to troubleshoot problems and work directly with equipment and production processes
  • Comfort working in a production environment on a regular basis
  • Proficiency with Outlook and Word
  • Equivalent relevant experience may replace a high school diploma
  • Onsite attendance, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Beverage industry experience is preferred
  • Engineering or technical background is preferred
  • Knowledge of quality systems, including quality control, ISO certifications, and good manufacturing practices is preferred

Benefits

  • Employer-paid medical insurance for the employee
  • Dental and vision coverage
  • Paid time off and paid company holidays
  • Stock option grants upon reaching key company milestones
  • Growth opportunity within an expanding company, with a path toward Chief Operating Officer

If you bring food manufacturing depth, a supply chain background, and the willingness to work alongside your team on the floor, apply today and help shape the operation behind a brand moving into national retail.
