Job Description
Position Title: Litigation Attorney
A well-established Atlanta law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to handle sophisticated corporate and business litigation matters for a strong portfolio of longstanding clients. This attorney will manage cases throughout the litigation lifecycle, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, e-discovery, trial preparation, and strategic client counseling across complex commercial disputes.
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of general corporate or business litigation experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to understand a client’s objectives, develop a clear legal strategy, and execute that strategy effectively. This role is ideal for a collaborative attorney who enjoys substantive work, values direct client relationships, and wants long-term growth within a collegial firm with a path to partnership.
Salary Range: $175,000 – $250,000 / annually, DOE
Responsibilities
- Manage corporate and business litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, business objectives, potential exposure, and practical solutions
- Handle written discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests, third-party subpoenas, and notices to produce
- Take and defend party and expert depositions
- Oversee document production and manage e-discovery platforms in federal and state court matters
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Prepare cases for trial and collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters
Requirements
- 5–7 years of general corporate or business litigation experience
- Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar
- Experience handling matters involving multiple areas of commercial litigation, such as B2B disputes, technology, intellectual property, data security, insurance coverage, corporate governance, employment litigation, product liability, real estate, or related matters
- Hands-on trial preparation experience
- Experience taking and defending party and expert depositions
- Experience managing written discovery, third-party subpoenas, notices to produce, and e-discovery
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills with a genuine interest in substantive research and writing
- Ability to work collaboratively, maintain a professional demeanor, and contribute wherever the team needs support
- Experience arguing motions, second-chair trial experience, first-chair trial experience, or prior large law firm experience is a plus
