Job Description

Position Title: Process Engineer

Take ownership of the processes, equipment, and technology behind a growing wire harness manufacturing operation. We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production equipment, program harness testing systems, and drive greater efficiency across the shop floor. This role works closely with production supervisors, operators, and leadership to strengthen existing processes while supporting the introduction of new harnesses and customer programs.

The ideal candidate brings direct wire harness manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the practical problem-solving skills to understand equipment, diagnose issues, and implement improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants meaningful influence over manufacturing operations rather than simply maintaining established processes.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities

  • Support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve wire harness manufacturing processes and production equipment
  • Work hands-on with automated wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, welding equipment, bench press machines, and harness testing systems
  • Program harness testers, troubleshoot machine logic, and modify function blocks or equipment logic as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, efficiency, equipment performance, and overall manufacturing capacity
  • Partner closely with production supervisors, operators, purchasing, and leadership to resolve technical and process-related challenges
  • Support the introduction of new harnesses, custom orders, and customer programs into the manufacturing operation
  • Develop a deep understanding of shop-floor equipment and processes to provide practical, timely technical support

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of engineering or senior-level technical experience within wire harness manufacturing, or a closely related manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of wire harness assembly processes, production equipment, and manufacturing workflows
  • Experience programming harness testers and troubleshooting machine logic, function blocks, and related production technology
  • Hands-on experience with automated wire cutting, stripping, crimping, welding, bench press and testing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and practical understanding of manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to work effectively on the production floor, diagnose problems, and translate technical knowledge into practical solutions
  • Four-year engineering degree is preferred but not required, with relevant industry experience valued heavily

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company contribution toward employee medical coverage
  • Paid vacation and sick time
  • Paid major holidays
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Christmas bonus opportunities
  • Flexible PTO considerations based on experience
  • Future 401(k) program planned as the company expands its benefits offering

If you are a hands-on manufacturing professional who understands wire harness production, enjoys solving complex equipment challenges, and wants the opportunity to make a measurable impact on an operation, apply today to take the next step in your engineering career.
