Job Description
Position Title: Financial Client Relationship Associate
Build meaningful client relationships while expanding your career across investments, financial planning, tax strategy, and estate planning. A growing, relationship-driven financial services firm is seeking a Financial Client Relationship Associate to work directly with clients, provide investment and financial planning guidance, and support a comprehensive approach to wealth management. This role is approximately 70–80% focused on financial advising and client relationships, with the remaining 20–30% supporting tax planning and administrative needs.
The ideal candidate is a licensed financial professional who genuinely enjoys working with clients, understands investments and financial planning, and can confidently translate complex financial needs into thoughtful recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen existing client relationships, build their own book of business, and grow within a stable, established firm.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen long-term client relationships, serving as a trusted point of contact for financial planning and investment needs
- Meet directly with clients to understand their financial goals, priorities, and evolving needs
- Develop investment portfolios, assist with comprehensive financial plans, and recommend appropriate financial products and strategies
- Support clients with investment accounts, 401(k) rollovers, retirement planning and broader wealth management needs
- Collaborate on tax planning, estate planning, and other comprehensive financial strategies
- Support tax-season activities, including income tax planning and coordination with tax professionals
- Maintain accurate client records, CRM information, and related documentation while supporting ongoing account administration
Requirements
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required; Series 63 plus Series 65 may be accepted in place of the Series 66
- 3–5 years of relevant financial services, investment management or wealth management experience
- Strong understanding of investments, portfolio development and financial planning
- Proven ability to build client relationships, communicate recommendations clearly and confidently, and work directly with clients
- Experience using Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and financial planning software
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing relationship management with administrative responsibilities
- Strong ability to listen, identify client needs, and provide a high level of personalized service
Preferred Qualifications
- CFP designation
- CPA or EA credential
- Tax preparation, tax planning, or accounting experience
- Existing investment book of business
- Experience working in a comprehensive financial planning environment that integrates investments, tax, and estate planning
