Position Title: Associate Attorney

Join a well-established Denver law firm where attorneys handle sophisticated probate, estate administration, guardianship, and conservatorship matters while working alongside a highly collaborative team. The Associate Attorney will manage active litigation matters, appear regularly in court, draft pleadings and discovery, and work directly with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, opposing counsel, and other professionals throughout each case.

The ideal candidate is a Colorado-barred attorney with 2–5 years of meaningful litigation experience who is confident in the courtroom, produces exceptional written work, and wants to deepen their expertise in probate, elder law, and estate-related disputes. Salary Range: $110,000–$155,000 / Year, DOE + Discretionary Year-End Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Manage probate, estate administration, guardianship, and conservatorship matters, including contested proceedings and litigation
  • Handle approximately 3–5 active probate litigation matters alongside additional routine court proceedings
  • Make frequent court appearances and represent clients during hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
  • Conduct discovery and support deposition, hearing, and trial preparation
  • Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, fiduciaries, personal representatives, beneficiaries, experts, and other professionals
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to manage deadlines and move cases efficiently through the litigation process

Requirements

  • Active license and in good standing with the Colorado Bar
  • 2–5 years of substantive litigation experience
  • Litigation experience in probate, trusts and estates, elder law, family law, or relevant civil litigation strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated courtroom experience and confidence appearing before the court
  • Strong discovery, legal research, writing, and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage litigation deadlines and multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment
  • Personable, collaborative, and eager to learn with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work
