Position Title: Field Service Technician

Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000 / Year, DOE + Overtime & Bonus

Build your technical expertise while working hands-on with advanced industrial printing, coding, and laser technology. We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the Omaha/Lincoln region, providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and technical support for sophisticated electromechanical equipment. This role combines independent fieldwork, customer interaction, and regional travel with extensive technical training and the opportunity to work across continuous inkjet, laser, thermal transfer, thermal inkjet, and other industrial printing technologies.

The ideal candidate has a strong electromechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills and the confidence to work directly with customers. Military technical experience, industrial maintenance, or experience with printing, coding, or similar complex equipment is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial printers, coding systems, laser equipment, and related electromechanical systems
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and emergency service needs
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to provide on-site technical service and customer support
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify developing issues, and proactively address maintenance needs
  • Create and maintain detailed work orders, service records, and documentation of problems and resolutions
  • Manage replacement parts and service inventory to ensure necessary components are available when needed
  • Communicate technical issues and recommended solutions clearly and professionally to customers

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of relevant technical experience or equivalent military technical experience
  • Strong electromechanical background with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing complex equipment
  • Solid understanding of electronics, diagnostics, mechanical systems, and software-driven equipment
  • Working knowledge of IT, networking, or communications systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Proactive, organized, and accountable with the ability to work independently in the field
  • Willingness to complete extensive technical training and learn proprietary equipment and systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory, including occasional overnight trips
