Job Description
Position Title: Private Equity Analyst
Build your private equity career from the inside, working directly alongside experienced investment professionals and gaining hands-on exposure to deals, portfolio companies, and the systems that drive investment decisions. A growing private equity firm is seeking a Private Equity Analyst to support financial analysis, deal flow, portfolio due diligence, and internal operations. This role will work across financial modeling, CRM and investor data management, acquisition activity, AI-driven initiatives, and process improvement while helping the firm scale its investment platform.
The ideal candidate is sharp, analytical, and highly self-motivated with a strong foundation in financial modeling, excellent Excel skills, and the initiative to operate successfully in a small, entrepreneurial environment.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to support investment analysis, acquisitions and portfolio decision-making
- Assist with portfolio company due diligence and evaluate potential investment and add-on acquisition opportunities
- Track deal flow, investor information, and investment activity within the firm’s CRM
- Support acquisition initiatives across existing portfolio companies and future investments
- Help organize and improve internal systems, processes, investor lists and data tracking
- Leverage AI tools to improve research, analysis, workflow efficiency, and internal processes
- Support relationships and information flow involving investment bankers, deal brokers, and other transaction partners
- Prepare financial analysis, presentations and investment-related materials using Excel and PowerPoint
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline
- 1–5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field
- Hands-on financial modeling or analytical experience with a strong understanding of financial concepts
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
- Experience using AI tools in a professional or analytical capacity
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to learn new investment concepts quickly
- Self-starter mentality with excellent organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a small, highly collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to private equity, investment banking, M&A, corporate development, or transaction-related work
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and deal-flow tracking systems
- Experience supporting due diligence, valuation, acquisitions, or portfolio analysis
