Job Description
Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: $75,000–$105,000 / Year, DOE
This is a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer opportunity for someone who wants to spend less time behind a desk and more time making a real impact on the factory floor. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production and product development teams to introduce new products into manufacturing, improve production processes, evaluate and purchase equipment, and train operators on CNC machines, laser welders, and other manufacturing technologies. With approximately 90% of the role spent in the factory, this person will play a critical role in solving production challenges, improving manufacturability, and helping the operation scale efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who understands CNC equipment and laser welding, communicates well across technical and non-technical teams, and knows how to coach operators with patience and respect.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of new products from product development into manufacturing, evaluating manufacturability, feasibility, and production requirements
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and overall production performance
- Evaluate, recommend and support the purchase and implementation of new manufacturing equipment
- Train and coach operators on CNC machines, laser welders and other production equipment
- Partner closely with product development and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges before and after product launches
- Troubleshoot production issues directly on the factory floor and develop practical, hands-on solutions
- Help prioritize workflow, equipment needs, and process improvements as new products and production demands increase
- Provide feedback to inventory and operations teams regarding material availability and production needs
- Support a collaborative, cross-trained manufacturing environment while helping operators strengthen their technical capabilities
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a closely related hands-on manufacturing engineering role
- Technical degree in engineering required; a two-year technical or engineering degree will be considered
- Hands-on experience operating and supporting CNC machines and laser welding equipment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and process improvement
- Ability and willingness to spend approximately 90% of the workday on the factory floor
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production challenges
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with the patience to train employees across varying levels of technical experience
- Proven employment stability with a track record of meaningful tenure in previous positions
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience are preferred
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Employer support toward insurance premiums with benefits beginning after 60 days
- $5,000 medical expense debit card
- 401(k) with company match after 60 days
- 2 weeks of paid vacation with flexibility to negotiate additional vacation based on experience
- 5 paid sick days
- Generous paid holiday schedule
- Quarterly bonus opportunity tied to company shipment targets
- Annual performance reviews and salary increases
- Opportunity for international travel and training with the parent company in Italy
- Long-term growth opportunities as the company expands operations and evaluates future acquisitions
