Position Title: Event Operations Assistant

The Event Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of events for a membership organization. This position involves constant interaction with members, managing RSVPs, and handling various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions. A background in event planning or hospitality is essential, as this role requires a proactive approach to member engagement and event management. The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the success of multiple conferences and virtual events throughout the year.

Event Operations Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Manage member communications, including RSVPs and scheduling
  • Pull and maintain accurate reports and lists for events
  • Send confirmation emails and marketing materials related to events
  • Cross-check rooming lists with hotels for accuracy
  • Take initiative in identifying renewal opportunities with members
  • Support the team in executing eight main conferences and twenty virtual events annually

Event Operations Assistant Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in event planning or a hospitality background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional phone presence
  • Experience with industry-standard event software, Cvent, is preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
