Position Title: Construction Office Manager
This role serves as a pivotal point in the organization, managing essential office functions while ensuring the smooth operation of accounting and human resources. The Construction Office Manager will oversee a team that includes an administrative assistant, payroll administrator, and accounts payable clerks. This position requires flexibility and a proactive attitude, as the individual will address a variety of tasks that may arise throughout the day. Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 / Year DOE
Construction Office Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative functions, including HR, payroll, and accounts payable
- Manage the office’s day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with company policies
- Directly supervise a team comprising an administrative assistant, payroll administrator, and two accounts payable clerks
- Prepare and oversee audits from various insurance companies
- Handle accounting tasks such as bank statement reconciliation and management reporting
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes with minimal involvement
- Assist with workers’ compensation issues as necessary
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members
Construction Office Manager Requirements:
- At least 10 years of full cycle accounting experience, including 5 years in an Accounting Manager role
- Experience with certified payroll, job costing, and preliminary lien processes
- Construction industry experience is required
- Human resources experience, particularly in workers’ compensation and onboarding
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel at an intermediate level
- A BA degree is preferred
