Position Title: Senior Elevator Technician

The Senior Elevator Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of elevator systems in both residential and commercial buildings. This position requires a top-tier service technician who excels in troubleshooting complex electronic and control system issues. The technician will engage with a variety of elevator makes and models, providing solutions that minimize downtime and enhance safety. The role also involves participating in an on-call rotation, offering flexibility in scheduling and opportunities for professional growth. Candidates should be prepared to handle challenging service calls and demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence.

Salary: $63.00 / Hour DOE

Senior Elevator Technician Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve complex service issues on elevators, focusing on controls, microprocessors, relay logic, and VFDs
  • Handle advanced service calls where others encounter difficulties; not routine maintenance
  • Perform smaller service repairs without engaging in large repair crew tasks
  • Travel between customer sites within designated territory, adhering to safety standards
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, responding to after-hours calls as necessary

Senior Elevator Technician Requirements:

  • 10+ years of elevator service experience with strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Extensive experience with controls, microprocessors, relay logic, and serial communication
  • Service-focused background, not limited to repair crew, modernization, or construction
  • Eligibility for licensure in New Jersey and Delaware
  • CET training or NEIEP/NEEP training is acceptable
  • Willingness to be on-call approximately every 7 weeks
  • 5-10 years of elevator service experience with a proven ability to excel is preferred
  • Strong foundation in electronics and controls with a solid understanding of troubleshooting is preferred
  • Proven problem-solving ability and a coachable mindset is preferred
  • Experience in service/maintenance work specifically, rather than repair or construction, is preferred
  • Prior experience in apartment building portfolios is preferred
  • Multi-brand exposure and comfort with both modern boards and legacy relay systems is preferred
  • Local to the Greater Philadelphia/West Chester region or willingness to relocate is preferred
