Position Title: Remote SVP – Business Development (Community Banks)

The SVP – Business Development serves as a relationship manager for community banks, focusing on integrating investment subsidiaries and tax credit investments. This role requires a collaborative team player, as the organization values teamwork over individualism. The successful candidate will navigate a niche market with a long sales cycle, engaging with C-suite executives to foster trusted partnerships. The role involves maintaining executive-level relationships and leading strategic discussions on capital management and tax-advantaged investment strategies. A proactive approach is essential, as the position includes attending conferences and engaging in thought leadership activities.

Remote SVP – Business Development (Community Banks) Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolios ranging from $100 million to $1 billion
  • Oversee tax credits valued between $5 million and $50 million
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with community bank CEOs and CFOs
  • Lead strategic discussions regarding effective tax rate management and capital planning
  • Collaborate internally with Tax Credit Investments and Investment Subsidiary teams
  • Engage in relationship-driven business development without cold calling
  • Attend 39 conferences annually, participating in client visits and networking
  • Proactively contribute to industry panels, webinars, and content creation

Remote SVP – Business Development (Community Banks) Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience advising or selling financial solutions to community bank C-suite executives
  • Strong understanding of bank financial statements, tax incentives, depreciation, and capital management concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Experience with banks having assets between $1 billion and $50 billion
  • Demonstrated executive presence and credibility in boardroom discussions
  • Established C-suite relationships within the $2B–$50B community bank segment
  • Ability to convert trusted advisor relationships into long-term revenue partnerships
  • Flexibility to work varying hours as needed is preferred
