Job Description
Position Title: Regional VP of Sales
The Regional VP of Sales plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and leading a team of field sales representatives within the manufacturing sector. This position requires a strong sales leader who can navigate complex environments and engage effectively with clients. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the industry and demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team. The role demands a proactive approach, as it involves regular field engagement and collaboration with various stakeholders. Adapting to the fast-paced nature of a growing company will be essential for success in this position.
Regional VP of Sales Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of approximately 10 field sales representatives
- Conduct regular ride-alongs to coach, train, and enhance team performance
- Set clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability across the team
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales talent
- Drive regional revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Partner with representatives on key accounts and deal strategy
- Assist in closing complex, technical sales opportunities
- Monitor pipeline health and forecast accuracy
- Spend significant time in the field with representatives and customers
- Provide hands-on coaching in real sales environments
- Support troubleshooting, process improvement, and solution selling
- Develop and execute regional sales strategy aligned with company goals
- Identify new market opportunities across industrial verticals
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized solutions
- Provide feedback to leadership on market trends and product needs
Regional VP of Sales Requirements:
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience managing field teams within the industry
- Comfortable walking through plants and selling into manufacturing environments
- Must have experience selling products from competitors such as DuBois, Henkel, Troy Chemical, Quaker Houghton, or Chemtool
- High School Diploma is required
- Proficient in any CRM, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
