Position Title: Vice President, Sales Development – Fulfillment & Warehousing

The organization seeks a senior sales executive to lead sales development and enhance customer acquisition for warehousing and fulfillment services. This role encompasses ownership of the entire sales process and requires collaboration with executive leadership and operations to create scalable and profitable fulfillment solutions for expanding brands. The position demands a strong understanding of the logistics landscape, including both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business fulfillment. The candidate will face challenges in a competitive market while driving strategic growth initiatives. An executive presence and consultative approach are essential for success in this role.

Vice President, Sales Development Responsibilities:

  • Drive new revenue through strategic sales of warehousing, D2C, and B2B fulfillment services
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Lead executive-level conversations with brands, manufacturers, and distributors
  • Develop and manage a strong, predictable sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure SLA-aligned, profitable solutions
  • Represent 3PL Worldwide at industry events and with strategic partners

Vice President, Sales Development Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven success selling warehousing and fulfillment services (3PL required)
  • Demonstrated ability to add 6-10 new clients per year, generating $500,000 or more in business, or $2-3 million added year over year
  • Strong understanding of pallet storage, pick/pack pricing, D2C vs. B2B fulfillment, and shipping SLAs
  • Executive presence with strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Data-driven, CRM-focused sales discipline
  • Experience closing complex fulfillment deals
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) is preferred
  • Experience with hazmat compliance for shipping is a huge plus
  • Understanding of freight and its relation to sales is preferred
  • Exposure to both direct-to-business and direct-to-consumer shipping is preferred
