Accounting Manager
Hybrid | San Diego, CA
A fast-moving, service-based professional firm is seeking an Accounting Manager who is sharp, proactive, and comfortable operating as the right hand to a CFO who expects initiative, not handholding. If you are someone who catches discrepancies before anyone else sees them, improves systems because you can, and speaks up when something doesn’t make sense, this role was built for you. Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000 / Year DOE + Project Bonuses
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting and internal financial leadership
- Oversee the AR/AP function
- Manage commission tracking
- GL and P&L
- Lead both the month-end and year-end close
- Manage reconciliations, journal entries, vendor relationships, and reporting accuracy
- Work directly with leadership to ensure financial visibility, process efficiency, and proactive decision-making
Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience (5+ preferred)
- 2-3+ years of NetSuite experience
- Experience in a B2B, service-based environment
- Commission and revenue tracking experience
- Strong ownership mindset and proactive communication
- Comfort working onsite in a hybrid structure
- Staffing or professional services background preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Spiff, or Rippling preferred
- Experience mentoring or overseeing an AR/AP function preferred
- Degree preferred, though strong experience will absolutely be considered preferred
