A respected Charlotte, North Carolina CPA firm
Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee monthly accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients
- Manage and mentor a team of 5-6 accountants and bookkeepers
- Ensure clean books and accurate financials to support tax planning and advisory work
- Improve workflows, processes, and client onboarding within the accounting group
- Advise clients on financial reporting, systems, and best practices
- Partner with firm leadership to expand and strengthen the accounting services offering
- Track department performance, workload, and client deliverables
- Support client billing and service line profitability
Senior Accounting Manager Requirements:
- 7+ years of public accounting experience
- 2+ years in a people leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Background serving small to mid-sized businesses, trusts, and individuals
- Comfortable working in a hybrid, autonomous environment
- CPA preferred but not required
