Job Description

A fast-growing, family-rooted company is looking for a Cabinet Design Sales professional who can blend aesthetic vision with confident sales execution. This role owns the full client experience from first conversation through final design handoff, working directly with homeowners, designers, and builders, many of whom are high-net-worth clients expecting precision, warmth, and white-glove service. You’ll design custom cabinetry solutions, manage client relationships, generate new business, and drive sales while representing a respected, high-end custom shop. They’re looking for a personable, detail-driven designer with strong sales instincts who wants to build a long-term home, grow financially, and thrive in a supportive, steady, family-run environment.

Cabinet Design Sales Professional Responsibilities:

  • Build and grow relationships with designers, builders, and homeowners, including outreach and occasional cold calling.
  • Meet clients to understand needs, present cabinetry options, and close sales with confidence and professionalism.
  • Design full cabinetry layouts in CAD/2020, or similar, and guide clients through materials, finishes, and functional details.
  • Manage projects from initial concept through handoff to design engineering
  • Answer client questions and provide regular updates.
  • Conduct the initial onsite rough measurements and coordinate with the final measurement technician.
  • Handle incoming client calls, emails, and design inquiries with clarity and urgency.
  • Drive personal sales pipeline, sourcing approximately 50% of your own clients depending on market conditions.
  • Achieve $700k–$1M in annual sales; commissions paid as customer payments are received throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong relationships, follow-through, and communication across a long sales cycle

Cabinet Design Sales Professional Requirements:

  • 3 – 5+ years of sales experience within interior design, custom cabinetry, kitchen design, or a related field
  • Proficiency with CAD, 2020 Design, or similar cabinet design software
  • Ability to manage high-net-worth clients with professionalism, patience, and excellent communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail throughout design and sales documentation
  • Comfort with prospecting, outreach, and relationship-based selling—this is a sales-forward role
  • Stable work history demonstrating commitment and longevity
  • Personable, positive, kind, and able to thrive in a respectful, team-oriented Midwestern environment
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to visit client sites locally
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in interior design or related field preferred
  • Experience with Cabinet Vision software preferred
  • Background in high-end residential cabinetry design preferred
