An independent, award-winning investment advisory firm founded in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a polished, proactive Client Service Associate to support their Retirement Plan Services team. This role will provide support and deliver exceptional client experiences to high-net-worth individuals and corporate retirement plan clients. This role is the operational heartbeat for client relationships: coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, processing account activity, communicating directly with clients and carriers, and ensuring every detail is handled with precision. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Retirement Plan Services. They’re looking for a type-A, organized, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities with calm confidence, and is genuinely passionate about a long-term career in financial services.
Client Service Associate Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers with professionalism and exceptional service
- Coordinate client meetings, including compiling required documents and preparing advisors in advance
- Support money movement and account operations across private wealth and retirement plan clients
- Open and maintain client accounts and process required documentation
- Manage and prioritize multiple client needs and service requests simultaneously
- Communicate proactively with carriers and vendor platforms to resolve questions or issues
- Collaborate closely with internal advisors and leadership to ensure smooth and accurate service delivery
- Assist with general department support and contribute to a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck culture
Client Service Associate Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in financial services as a Client Service Associate or similar role
- Passion for financial services and long-term industry growth
- Polished communicator with strong professionalism and client-facing presence
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities calmly and effectively
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel: basic formulas required)
- Ability to learn platforms, including Salesforce, eMoney, Schwab, and carrier portals
- Strong work ethic, proactive approach, and willingness to solve problems independently
- Thrives in a small-team environment
- Corporate retirement plan experience preferred
- Series 65 or willingness to pursue preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
