An industry leader in high-performance instrumentation and vehicle electronics is expanding and adding two Buyers to support sourcing, vendor management and inventory strategy. This is a hands-on purchasing role responsible for supplier relationships, forecasting and materials procurement that directly impacts product availability and customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, production, material control and leadership while managing high-volume international purchasing primarily from China-based suppliers. The right candidate is resourceful, proactive and relentless with follow-through. Salary: $52,000 – $72,000 / Year DOE

Buyer Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing of components and materials from international vendors, primarily China

• Handle inventory levels, replenishment planning and forecasting using MRP tools

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers; negotiate pricing and terms to support cost-reduction initiatives

• Track and follow up on shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays

• Oversee quality control escalations and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers

• Work directly with the Material Resource Manager on purchasing decisions and process improvements

• Maintain accurate orders and data within ERP systems

• Support sourcing strategy for high-volume production needs

• Build strong relationships across internal teams and external vendor base

• Provide analytical insight for purchasing and planning decisions

Buyer Requirements:

• 2+ years of purchasing/buying experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proven success sourcing and purchasing internationally, particularly from China

• ERP / MRP experience

• Strong inventory management and forecasting skills

• Experience with vendor selection, onboarding and cost negotiation

• Ability to manage high-volume purchasing and competing timelines

• Quality control issue resolution experience

• Strong written, verbal and follow-up communication skills

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Materials Management preferred

• Familiarity with electrical components preferred
