A leader in renewable natural gas, converting landfill emissions into clean fuel, and the Instrumentation & Controls Technician is the heartbeat of plant reliability and safety on site in De Soto, IL. You will run day-to-day operations, monitor and troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support field projects across multiple facilities. Salary Range: $30.00 – $32.00 / Hour DOE
Instrumentation & Controls Technician Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas-to-energy processing equipment to ensure peak performance and regulatory compliance
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, testing, and repairs on instrumentation, controls, compressors, electrical systems up to 480V, and related plant equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly and safely to minimize downtime
- Record operational data, maintain logs, complete required documentation, and support compliance reporting
- Support special projects, media changes, turnarounds, and emergency work at additional sites
- Respond to on-call situations and assist during outages or critical plant events
- Maintain safe, clean, organized work areas and champion safety protocols always
- Participate in planning maintenance activities and ordering parts and supplies
Instrumentation & Controls Technician Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or operations
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability with electrical systems up to 480V and/or instrumentation & controls
- Ability to read and interpret equipment data, pressure/temperature trends, and process reports
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and work in industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 25-50% depending on project needs
- Ability to pass comprehensive background and hair follicle drug screening
