Job Description
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of sustainable glass bottles and jars, producing iconic packaging for global brands, is seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic to join the team in Burlington, WI. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems across the glass manufacturing facility. You’ll work with legacy and modern production equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and continuous plant operations. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and wiring systems across production lines
- Inspect and repair motors, conveyors, drivers, and machine components
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete detailed service logs
- Partner with supervisors to report issues, propose solutions, and ensure operational efficiency
- Support equipment upgrades and installation projects
- Adjust production lines to accommodate different product specifications
- Follow Lockout/Tagout and all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Use SAP and other maintenance tracking systems to log activity and performance metrics
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- Minimum 1.5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in repairing motors, conveyor systems, and light electrical components
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures
- Must supply own tools
- Verifiable hands-on mechanical or electrical repair experience
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork orientation
- Comfortable working rotating shifts and participating in on-call coverage
- Journeyman certification or related trade credentials preferred
- Experience in the glass, food, or beverage packaging industry preferred
- SAP familiarity preferred
