Job Description
A Texas-based manufacturer and distributor of metal roofing, siding, and structural panel systems is expanding into Utah, and this is your opportunity to build the territory from the ground up. We manufacture premium metal roofing systems, structural components, and high-end metal and aluminum doors and windows trusted by contractors, builders, and architects across the U.S. We are looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative who knows the construction materials industry and thrives while developing new business. You’ll own the Utah region, build deep relationships with the trades, and play a direct role in shaping our market expansion. This role is perfect for a hunter-mindset sales professional who wants full control of their success and the support of a fast-growing, highly respected manufacturer.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Develop new business across Utah through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and builder association engagement
- Sell metal roofing, building components, and metal/aluminum door and window solutions
- Build and manage relationships with contractors, custom home builders, and architects
- Prepare quotes, bids, pricing, and project proposals for commercial and residential clients
- Collaborate with estimating, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Monitor competitive trends and industry pricing to strengthen market positioning
- Attend trade shows, networking events, job site visits, and client meetings to build brand presence
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across product lines
- Report on pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performance to leadership
Outside Sales Representative Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of outside sales experience in construction materials
- Strong ability to read construction drawings and understand project scopes
- Proven history of exceeding sales goals and driving territory growth
- CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Willingness to travel throughout Utah and surrounding states as needed
- High-energy, customer-focused, strong communicator and negotiator
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Bachelor’s degree a plus preferred
