Job Description

A seasoned industry leader is hiring a Sales Representative to drive new business for its nationwide audiovisual equipment rental and live event production services. This role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship-building to closing and supporting event execution. This role will work closely with a small, experienced operations team to deliver flawless events. You’ll sell real solutions, not fluff, and be trusted to run your territory with autonomy and accountability. They’re looking for a proven live-events sales professional who knows AV rentals, builds relationships easily, and wants uncapped earning potential in a tight-knit, long-standing company.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and engage new clients through calls, emails, networking, and face-to-face meetings
  • Sell AV equipment rental and live event production solutions, including staging, lighting, audio, and video
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution
  • Attend event setup on day one to ensure client satisfaction and smooth execution
  • Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals
  • Collaborate with internal operations to coordinate equipment, schedules, and logistics
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, proposals, and client interactions
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to build a pipeline and brand awareness
  • Consistently work toward a $250,000 sales quota in the first six months

Sales Representative Requirements:

  • 1 – 3+ years of sales experience specifically in live event AV equipment rentals
  • Strong understanding of event production needs and client expectations
  • Comfortable prospecting, cold outreach, and in-person relationship building
  • Organized, self-directed, and able to manage a sales pipeline without micromanagement
  • Proficient with basic tools, Word, email, and calendar scheduling
  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred
  • Based in or near Madison Heights, MI, strongly preferred
