Job Description

A major construction company known for delivering high-value commercial, civic and historic restoration projects for more than 60 years is seeking a Project Manager to join it’s team in Augusta, Maine. In this role you will own the planning, coordination and execution of assigned builds ensuring work is delivered safely, on budget, and to a standard the team is proud to sign. You will lead cross-functional teams from pre-construction through closeout, manage subcontractor relationships and serve as the primary client interface guiding decisions that move projects forward.  This is a woman-owned firm where craftsmanship, accountability and personal growth actually mean something. Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full construction lifecycle from planning to punch-list and project turnover
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Serve as the point of accountability
  • Develop and track schedules, budgets and procurement plans
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor agreements
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders and documentation control
  • Ensure strict safety compliance and enforce quality standards onsite
  • Conduct progress meetings and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders
  • Partner closely with field leadership to solve issues before they become delays
  • Represent the company with professionalism and urgency at all times

Project Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction
  • Proven track record delivering projects safely, on schedule and within scope
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management ability
  • Detail-driven, proactive and calm under pressure
  • Commitment to team leadership and continuous improvement
  • Ability to travel to job sites across Maine and New Hampshire
