A high-performing community bank built on service, integrity, and strong local relationships is looking for a VP of Commercial Lending. With $1.2 billion in assets and a growing presence in Phoenix, the bank empowers its commercial lenders with true autonomy. The VP of Commercial Lending will be the key growth driver in the Phoenix market, sourcing and managing high-quality commercial real estate and business lending opportunities. This leader will build deep roots in the community, bring in new clients, and oversee deals from origination through closing and ongoing portfolio management. This branch wants a confident producer with strong credit instincts, proven Phoenix market connections, and a collaborative mindset that strengthens their tight-knit team.

VP of Commercial Lending Responsibilities:

• Source, originate, and close new commercial loan opportunities with CRE and local business clients
• Build and maintain strong referral networks and community partnerships
• Conduct credit underwriting and cash flow analysis to determine deal viability
• Structure loan packages and present recommendations to the loan committee
• Manage full loan lifecycle, including onboarding, relationship development, and ongoing portfolio oversight
• Partner with underwriting and credit teams to ensure sound risk management
• Represent the bank at client meetings, networking events, and community functions
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and rate shifts

VP of Commercial Lending Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial lending with a community banking model
• Strong credit underwriting background in commercial or commercial real estate lending
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field
• Existing network and at least 3 years of residency in the Phoenix/Valley market
• Experience using commercial spreading software such as CashSuite, Sageworks, Bukers, or Moody’s
• Track record of production and relationship growth
• Self-driven, independent professional with strong judgment and communication skills
• Team-oriented approach
