A third-generation, family-owned packaging manufacturer known for its precision, creativity, and people-first culture is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Bookkeeper to join their tight-knit team and own the full accounting process from end to end. Reporting directly to the owner, this person will manage payroll for all employees, handle AP/AR, oversee general ledger postings, reconcile accounts, and ensure the company’s financial operations run smoothly and accurately. Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for manufacturing business
• Manage payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Calculate sales commissions and ensure timely payouts
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, general ledger postings, and check runs
• Manage 3-way matching for PO/non-PO invoicing
• Prepare and file state and DOT compliance documentation
• Oversee credit reporting and manage new customer account setup
• Support leadership with financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvements

Bookkeeper Requirements:

• 8+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger structure
• Experience with manufacturing or printing industry accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Great Plains, Epicor AVP, or similar ERP systems a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and accountability
