Job Description
A respected and rapidly growing general contractor based in Lakewood, WA, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial ground-up construction projects from concept to completion. This is a hands-on role managing design-build, estimating, scheduling, and project execution for multiple jobs at once. You’ll own your projects end-to-end: building client relationships, managing subcontractors, ensuring profitability, and delivering work that reflects the company’s reputation for quality and responsiveness. The ideal candidate is sharp, self-sufficient, and customer-driven, a strong communicator who thrives in an environment that values independence, precision, and professionalism.
Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 / Year DOE
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple commercial ground-up construction projects from start to finish
- Handle estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project documentation
- Lead design-build processes, develop proposals, and review plans and specs
- Oversee self-perform and subcontracted work to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and coordinate with superintendents
- Approve vendor invoices, issue subcontracts, manage submittals and change orders
- Interface directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Maintain detailed project tracking through Procore, Excel, and Microsoft Projects
- Uphold the company’s reputation for responsiveness, accuracy, and integrity in every client interaction
Project Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial ground-up construction
- Proven ability to manage both self-perform and subcontracted work
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Projects
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to operate independently with minimal direction
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
