Job Description

An established distributor of professional audio equipment is seeking a proactive Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator to manage purchasing operations, vendor relations, and inventory accuracy. This role will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada and oversees all purchasing activities from issuing POs to tracking international shipments, coordinating imports, and maintaining cost and stock data. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoys keeping details in order while working closely with both vendors and internal teams.

Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily purchasing operations including issuing purchase orders and confirming product availability and lead times
  • Serve as the main contact for domestic and international vendors
  • Track and coordinate imports with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain accurate cost, lead time, and vendor information within company systems
  • Partner with the warehouse team to receive inventory and conduct monthly counts
  • Reconcile purchase orders with vendor invoices and process payments
  • Prepare reports on payables, expenses, and inventory status
  • Follow up on backorders, returns, and damaged goods
  • Maintain organized records for vendors, purchase orders, and delivery histories

Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or import logistics
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with solid math and record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Customer service mindset with reliable attendance and follow-through
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent business training preferred
